A Trauma-Informed and Attachment Based Psychology Practice

Desmond Soh

I am a Clinical Psychologist who is dedicated to helping individuals and wider systems navigate the intricate complexities of our own psychology and its wider impact. With experiences spanning hospitals, organizations focused on employee mental health and other private settings, my approach is both integrative and trauma-informed, designed to meet the unique needs of each client. My professional philosophy is anchored in exploring the subjective lived experiences of individuals, recognizing the significance of their unique perspectives and narratives in the therapeutic process.

Approach and
Philosophy

My approach is integrative and phenomenological, drawing on a rich tapestry of perspectives that is anchored in values of reflexivity, mutuality and curiosity. In this spirit, I engage in my own therapy and actively seek clinical supervision over my own practice. Over the years, my approach has also evolved to be attachment and trauma-informed, recognizing the complex interaction between our lived experiences, personality development and what we do in turn to survive.

Workshops and Talks

I provide a distinctive blend of integrative and trauma-informed approaches tailored for corporate environments. The ultimate goal is to help establish a high-value creating team: teams that continuously co-create value with, and for, all their stakeholders. In service of this goal, my practice is grounded in diverse perspectives, incorporating inter and intra-psychic dynamics and practices to adeptly navigate the intricate complexities of mental health within individual and organizational contexts. I have experiences in multi-cultural settings and am committed to cultivating an inclusive perspective into corporate well-being initiatives.

I have undergone additional training and development in Systemic Team Coaching and Organizational Thinking. This allows me to offer invaluable insights to teams, departments, and leaders by understanding the profound impact of internal psychological dynamics that interferes with business needs. Collaborating with organizations, I support leaders in the intervention of team dynamics, refining communication strategies, and elevating the overall psychological well-being at work.
